I was out on the Truck for the past month. I attempted to run the Quickbooks internface setup. Upon running the "validate accounting" I received the following message:

"error 3022: the changes you requested to the table, were not successful because they would create a duplicate values in the index, primary key or relationship. Change the data in the field or fields that contain duplicate data, remove the index, or redefine the index to permit duplicate entries and try again. Unable to verify record. Program will resume."

It appears I must tweek something in order to complete the task.

Let me know what action to take and I'll get it completed. Thanks,
Rose

Rose - I'll need your database to diagnose this one. There are some fields that the program tries to update and error it's tries to correct when you run Validate. One of these may be causing the problem. Upload your database and I'll let you know what to do to correct the problem.

Rose - I'll get your database and check it. In the mean time run Verify (not Validate) first, then run the Validate and see if that fixes the problem.

Hi Rose, the problem is you have an invalid file name - MISC. (with a period) and you also have a valid file name MISC (without the period). The program is trying to change the one with the period and delete the period, but it can't because the other name already exists.

Go to SETUP/DELETE ACCOUNTS/CHARGE TO ACCOUNT and double click on MISC. (the one with the period) to delete it. This will solve the problem.

All 4 of the Quickbooks interface setup requirements have been accomplished. After running "validate" as the final step and received a "no errors found" stamp of approval, I deem this 2003 Upgrade a certifiable success!

John, thank again for your help, it was easier than I thought it would be.
